FACULTY
The TSGSM faculty consists of fine Christian teachers who are well-qualified in the field of gospel music. The faculty see themselves as more than just classroom and private teachers. They are interested in each student, and you will find them available both in and out of class.

| Christine Locke Adams, School Administrator
Ms. Adams has a Bachelor's Degree in vocal music and has been teaching at gospel music schools for over 28 years. She is a retired public school choral instructor and a gospel music songwriter. - Harrison, AR.
She is the Choral Director for the music school as well as the Administrator beginning January, 2024.

Mrs. McKissack has a Bachelor's Degree in English and will be assisting our new administrator. She is also a music school instructor and gospel music songwriter. - Waxahachie, TX

| Steve Colburn
Mr. Colburn has a Masters Degree in vocal performance. He is not only a music school instructor, but also a college music instructor and gospel music songwriter. He is currently serving as Minister of Music at First Baptist Church, Corsicana, TX. - Powell, TX
He teaches private guitar and voice lessons.

Ms. Emmett has a Bachelor's degree in English and a minor in music. She is a music school instructor, and gospel music songwriter. - Forney, TX
She currently teaches Level I Music Theory (ages 10-12).

Mrs. Locke-Heard has a Bachelor's degree in piano performance. She is a music school instructor, gospel music songwriter, and private piano instructor. - Augusta, GA
She teaches Level V - Advanced Songwriting and may teach private piano or voice.

| Ellen Marsh
Mrs. Marsh has a Bachelor's Degree in music education and a Bachelor's Degree in accordion performance. She has been teaching at gospel music schools for over 40 years, including 12 years at the Stamps Quartet School of Music in Dallas. She is a gospel music songwriter and is a private piano instructor. - Hot Springs, AR
She teaches private piano and may accompany group singing.

| Jeremy McKissack
Mr. McKissack has a Bachelor’s Degree in music and math. He has taught public school choir and band, is a gospel music songwriter and has taught in several music schools in Alabama, Tennessee, and Texas. - Waxahachie, TX.
He teaches Level I, Music Theory ( Ages 13 - Adults) and accompanies group singing and may teach private piano and/or voice.

| Derek Meler
Mr. Meler has a Bachelor's degree in vocal performance and a Master's degree in conducting. He has taught in several music schools in seven states and has sung with the Nashville Opera. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in conducting.

| Tracey Phillips
Ms. Phillips has a Bachelor of Arts in music. She is a music school instructor, gospel music songwriter, and has been featured in the popular Gaither Homeing videos. She has recorded and/or arranged for such well-known Southern Gospel artists as the Speers, Perrys, Nelons, and Ernie Haase and Signature Sound. She received a Dove Award for her own Christmas CD in 2024 and has been nominated for Dove Awards for her work on Daywind's instrumental series. She has recorded with the Prague Philharmmonic Orchestra in Prague, Chzech Republic, and composed and performed original music for Billy, The Early Years, a full-length feature film recounting the early life of Bill Graham.
